Mommy & Me Group Visit

Never-E-Nuff Acres was happy to host a local Mommy & Me Group the morning of June 25th! The group consisted of 7 Mommies and 12 Children, ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years, with more than half being 2-3 years old. They thoroughly enjoyed meeting Captain, our oldest resident. He was the perfect model for them, lowering his head to greet each and every little one, and letting them pet and brush him. Everyone was very attentive as our volunteer Chrystal explained a bit about horses and safety around them.

Each child was given the opportunity to sit astride Captain and ride a few steps as he slowly walked. Most were thrilled at the prospect and loved it; their wide smiles were a dead giveaway!

Then everyone was guided on a tour to meet all the other residents here at the Rescue. The families had brought carrots as a treat for all of them. All the carrots were gobbled up in no time!

Before saying goodbye, we were presented with 4 large bags of aluminum cans for our ongoing Aluminum Can Fundraiser. Every little bits helps and we greatly appreciated the donation!
