Work Day Event ~ April 26th
The Fans of Barbaro (FOB's) in North Texas chose to Honor the Memory of the late Great Race Horse, Barbaro, by having a Work Day at Never-E-Nuff Acres. They rolled up their shirt sleeves along with many of our local volunteers to get the Ranch all ship-shape for the comfort and safety of the horses.
It was a day of Fun and Fellowship with other Horse Lovers. Refreshments were provided and Lunch was served! Other activities included a Silent Auction.
T-shirts to commemorate the Event were sold with the proceeds going directly to help pay Austin's hospital bill. The sick colt was released from the hospital in time to meet all his admirers and well wishers. He was happy to be home!!!
Check out the Waxahachie Daily Light Interview below!!!
We had a great turn out for the Barbaro Legacy Work Day event!

There was good food...

The horses got some much needed grooming & TLC...

Feed buckets were scrubbed squeaky clean...

There was yard work to do...

A shelter to be lined with plywood...

A round pen was assembled...

Sheds were mucked...

And the manure was spread...

Rocks were picked up out of the pastures under the close supervision of JackJack & Chico...

The feed & tack room got organized...

Time was spent earning the trust of some of our less handleable horses...

And a Silent Auction was held to raise funds to cover the cost of Austin's vet bill...

Everyone had a great time and we accomplished a lot!
